Acceptance of terms

By tapping “I agree”, creating an account, managing a family, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using Kudobee, the adult account holder confirms that they are at least 18 (or the age of majority where they live), have the legal capacity and authority to accept these terms, and accept them on behalf of themselves and the family members they invite or supervise. These terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Refunds & Subscriptions page by reference, and we keep a record of your acceptance. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Who may use the app

Kudobee is intended for families. The account holder must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where they live) and have the legal capacity to accept these terms. Children may use the app only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether the app is appropriate for their family.

Parent or guardian responsibility

A parent or guardian is responsible for how Kudobee is set up and used in their family, including:

• Creating and managing child profiles
• Setting tasks, schedules, coins, and rewards
• Reviewing and approving child activity
• Managing privacy, purchase, and notification settings

App purpose

Kudobee helps families organize chores, routines, goals, reminders, virtual coins, and rewards. It is not a medical, educational, psychological, financial, or professional advice service, and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from qualified professionals.

Accounts and security

Provide accurate account information and keep parent login details secure. Child access uses a parent-generated invite code rather than an independent child-created account. If you believe someone accessed your account without permission, contact support@kudobee.com.

Child profiles and family data

You may create a child profile only for your own child or a child for whom you are the legal guardian or are otherwise legally authorized to act. By creating a child profile, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent, on the child's behalf, to the collection and processing of the child's information as described in our Privacy Policy. We record this confirmation when the profile is created. You must not create a profile for a child you are not authorized to manage.

Parent-created child profiles, tasks, routines, rewards, coins, and progress data are controlled by the parent or guardian. Keep profile and routine information appropriate for family use and avoid adding unnecessary personal details about children.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Kudobee or use it in a way that harms other families, the service, or app security. In particular:

• Do not attempt to access another family's account or data.
• Do not upload harmful, illegal, abusive, infringing, or age-inappropriate content.
• Do not bypass authentication, authorization, App Check, rate limits, or purchase controls.
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, exploit, or disrupt the service except where allowed by law.
• Do not use the app to send spam, harassment, or unwanted communications.

Uploaded content

Families may upload images such as task proof, reward images, or support attachments. You keep ownership of content you upload, and you grant Kudobee a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and transmit it solely to operate, secure, and support the app; this licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backups kept for a limited period as described in the Privacy Policy. You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights to the content, that it does not infringe anyone’s rights, and that any image showing a child depicts a child in your own family or one you are authorized to manage. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and must not upload images of other people’s children without the consent of their parent or guardian. To report content you believe is unlawful or infringing, contact support@kudobee.com; we may remove content or suspend access we reasonably believe violates these terms, and we may end access for repeat infringers.

Rewards, coins, and task completion

Coins, points, rewards, and progress indicators are motivational tools managed by parents inside the app. They have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, and create no financial obligation.

Subscriptions and purchases

Kudobee offers a free plan with core features and an optional Premium subscription (for example, monthly or yearly) that unlocks additional capacity and features. Premium can be purchased only from the parent area of the app.

Purchases, prices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled through Google Play under its terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled, and can be managed or canceled in your Google Play account. Premium access may end if a subscription expires, is canceled, payment fails, or the account violates these terms; existing data is retained according to the Privacy Policy. See the Refunds & Subscriptions page for details on cancellation and refunds.

Eligible new subscribers may be offered a free trial (currently 7 days). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and Google Play charges the price shown for your chosen plan; you can cancel any time during the trial in your Google Play account at no charge. Trial eligibility and length are determined by Google Play and may change. Prices and applicable taxes are shown before you purchase; if we change the price of an ongoing subscription, you will be notified and asked to consent as required by Google Play and applicable law before the new price applies. Google Play’s terms govern billing, and in case of any conflict about a charge, Google Play’s billing terms control.

Privacy

Privacy controls are available to parents and guardians. Please review the Kudobee Privacy Policy for information about family data, child profiles, purchases, notifications, retention, and deletion.

Third-party services

Kudobee relies on trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, notifications, crash diagnostics, and purchases, including Firebase, Google Cloud, and Google Play. Service-provider use is limited to what is needed to operate, secure, support, or deliver the app. Children's data is not sold or used for targeted advertising.

Your licence to use the app

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Kudobee on devices you control, for your family’s personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the app except where the law allows. All rights not expressly granted are reserved, and this licence ends when these terms end.

Intellectual property

The app, website, branding, design, software, and content belong to Volodymyr Pletnov, the individual developer of Kudobee, or its licensors. Kudobee, the Kudobee logo, and Pip the mascot are our trademarks, and these terms grant you no right to use them. If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use them without any obligation or payment to you.

Service availability

Kudobee may change, pause, or become unavailable for maintenance, updates, technical reasons, platform issues, or product changes.

Events beyond our control

Kudobee depends on third-party infrastructure (such as Google Firebase and Google Play) and is operated by an individual. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party services, internet or network failures, acts of government, war, armed conflict, natural disasters, or other force-majeure events.

Account deletion

Parents can delete account, family, or child profile data using in-app controls where available, or by contacting support@kudobee.com. See the Data Deletion page for steps, what is removed, and what may be retained.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, misuse the app, create a security or legal risk, or where required by law or our platform providers. You may end these terms at any time by deleting your account (see the Data Deletion page). On termination your right to use the app stops immediately; sections that by their nature should survive — including Uploaded content, Your licence to use the app, Intellectual property, Disclaimer, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, and Governing law — continue to apply.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kudobee is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit every family’s needs. Nothing in this section removes or limits any non-excludable statutory or consumer rights you have under the law of your country.

Limitation of liability

Where permitted by applicable law, Volodymyr Pletnov (the individual developer of Kudobee) is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to Kudobee is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for breach of your non-waivable statutory consumer rights. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law (and, if you are a consumer, only to the extent the law allows), you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Volodymyr Pletnov (the individual developer of Kudobee) from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of your unlawful use of the app, your breach of these terms, or content you upload that infringes someone’s rights or was shared without the required consent — for example a photo of another family’s child uploaded without their parent or guardian’s permission. This does not apply to anything caused by our own fault, and it does not affect your non-waivable consumer rights.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Ukraine have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may also be able to bring proceedings there. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact support@kudobee.com so we can try to resolve the issue first. Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

General

• Entire agreement — these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refunds & Subscriptions page form the whole agreement between you and us about Kudobee.
• Severability — if any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver — not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
• Assignment — you may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the app, subject to appropriate safeguards.
• Notices — we may provide notices in the app, by email, or on kudobee.com.

Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be updated. When they change, the “Last updated” date will change. For changes that materially reduce your rights, we will give reasonable advance notice (in the app or by email) before they take effect, and you may cancel your subscription and stop using Kudobee if you do not accept them. Minor or legally required changes may take effect when posted.
