Data Deletion
How parents can request account and data deletion for Kudobee, and what may be retained for legal, billing, safety, and security reasons. Verified requests are typically completed within 30 days.
Delete data in the app
The official way to delete your Kudobee account and data is inside the app:
- Open Kudobee while signed in as the parent or guardian account holder.
- Go to account, family, or settings controls.
- Choose the account, family, child profile, or data deletion option shown in the app.
- Review the warning, confirm the deletion request, and complete any required verification.
In-app account deletion is available; the exact placement of these controls can vary by platform, app version, and family role.
Deactivation, 30‑day grace period, and restore
When you request account deletion from the app, your account is first deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30‑day grace period. During this period nothing is erased and you can restore the account at any time by signing in again. We cancel the Google Play subscription associated with the account at the moment of deactivation so no further charges occur; if you restore the account it returns on the free plan and you can subscribe again. If you would rather not wait, the restore screen also offers a “delete permanently now” option that immediately and irreversibly erases the account and its data, ending the grace period.
Lost access or manual requests
If you cannot access the app or the in-app deletion path is unavailable, email support@kudobee.com from the email address associated with the account when possible. Include enough information to locate the account or family workspace, but do not send passwords, payment card numbers, government IDs, or other unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify that the requester is the parent or guardian account holder or is otherwise authorized.
What is deleted or anonymized
After a verified deletion request, we delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer needed to provide the service, which may include:
- Account profile information and authentication-linked app records.
- Family workspace data and membership records.
- Child profiles, display names, avatars, preferences, and role relationships.
- Tasks, rewards, coins, approvals, activity history, and related app content.
- Uploaded task-proof, reward, or support images stored for the family where deletion is technically and legally available.
- Push notification tokens and notification preferences.
What may be retained
Some information may be retained for limited purposes when legally or operationally necessary, including:
- Purchase, subscription, tax, refund, chargeback, fraud-prevention, and accounting records.
- Security logs, abuse-prevention records, App Check or reCAPTCHA integrity signals, and audit data.
- A one-way hashed, non-identifying marker that a referral welcome bonus was already claimed — kept indefinitely to stop the same bonus being re-claimed by deleting and recreating an account. It contains no account identifier, family identifier, name, or email.
- Support communications needed to document and resolve a request.
- Crash or diagnostic records that are aggregated, anonymized, or no longer identify a family or account.
- Backup copies until they expire under normal backup rotation.
- Information we must retain to comply with law, enforce terms, resolve disputes, or protect users and the service.
Expected completion time
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Some requests may take longer when additional verification is required, the request is complex, or limited retention is necessary for legal, billing, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup reasons.
After deletion
Account deletion requested in the app takes effect after a 30‑day grace period: the account is deactivated immediately and can be restored by signing in again until the period ends, after which deletion becomes permanent and cannot be undone. Choosing “delete permanently now” skips the grace period and is immediate and irreversible. When the account holder is the only parent or guardian of a child profile, deletion also removes that child’s profile and connected sign-in. We cancel the Google Play subscription associated with the account when it is deactivated; you can also review or cancel it directly in Google Play to be certain no further charges occur.
